DIHS Achieves Milestone with TESDA Accreditation, Paving New Paths for Cavite's Technical-Vocational Education
On November 11, 2024, a milestone was achieved by Dasmariñas Integrated High School (DIHS) as it was formally awarded its Certificate of Accreditation as a TESDA Assessment Center. The event, held at the DIHS School Library in Burol I, City of Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The awarding ceremony was led by RD Archie A. Grande, Regional Director of TESDA IV-A (CALABARZON), along with Ms. Lorena P. Lim, Administrator and Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Training Centers (PTC) Paliparan and Rosario, Ms. Emila C. Amapro, Supervising TESD Specialist, and Ms. Melissa L. Ruazol, Senior TESD Specialist of TESDA Cavite Provincial Office. Their presence underscored the significance of this achievement for both the school and the region.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Mark Jayson G. Espinosa, Cluster V Public School District Supervisor, as well as Dr. Francis D. Hernandez, Ed.D., Principal IV of DIHS. Both leaders, along with the school’s dedicated Technical Working Group, played pivotal roles in guiding the accreditation process. This group worked tirelessly to ensure that DIHS met the rigorous standards required by TESDA to operate as an official assessment center.
This achievement is particularly significant as DIHS becomes the first public school in Cavite to be granted accreditation as an assessment center by TESDA. The school is now certified to assess for the following qualifications:
1. Bread and Pastry Production NC II
2. Cookery NC II
3. Food and Beverage Services NC II
These qualifications are highly valued in the hospitality and culinary industries, opening up career pathways for students pursuing careers in food service and hospitality management.
