TESDA Batangas Leads the Way in Defining Skills for the Growing Rabbit Production Industry
As the development and finalization of the Competency Standards for Rabbit Production continues on its second day, Mr. Rodrigo Dela Cruz, Competency Standards Development expert-facilitator, guided the group in determining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for each unit of competency identified within the rabbit production industry.
Industry experts and farm owners provided input to ensure that the CS accurately reflects the various tasks and roles involved in rabbit production that aligns with industry needs. Towards the end of the writeshop, a developed Functional Map and a draft Competency Standards were presented for validation. The stakeholders agreed on the next steps for refining the documents, including gathering additional feedback from the industry before finally endorsing these to the Qualification and Standards Office for evaluation.
This activity marked significant progress in the development of a Functional Map and Competency Standards for Rabbit Production. The active participation of various stakeholders ensured the outputs reflect both the current state of the industry and its future needs. TESDA Batangas is committed to continuing the development of training programs that will boost the skills of workers in the rabbit production industry, helping to enhance their employability and contribute to the economic growth of the region.
