Twelve (12) participants from Barangay Balayhangin, together with TESDA-LLDA Provincial Training Center (PTC) alumni, participated in and successfully completed the Adopt-a-Community and Green TVET Project: Solar Lamp Installation on December 16, 2025, in Brgy. Balayhangin, Calauan, Laguna.

The activity was implemented by the TESDA-LLDA PTC community-based training team to promote the use of renewable energy and the practical application of Green TVET principles.

The activity formally commenced with welcoming remarks from Hon. Renato Barias, Barangay Chairman of Balayhangin, who expressed appreciation for the initiative and emphasized its importance in improving community safety and access to sustainable lighting solutions. Center Administrator, Catherine B. Torres officially opened the program by introducing the Provincial Training Center and highlighting its programs and services, underscoring TESDA’s continued commitment to skills development, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment.

The technical workshop and hands-on installation were conducted by PV System NC II Trainer Johram V. Palconan, who guided the participants on proper solar lamp installation, system components, and safety practices.

With the successful implementation of the project, TESDA-LLDA PTC further reinforces its commitment to delivering sustainable and skills training programs in partnership with stakeholders, including local government units and private entities, to uplift marginalized sectors in support of the TESDA advocacy, “Sa TESDA, Kayang Kaya!”
